What is Karpithal
Karpithal is a multi-tenant learning platform that serves individual learners and institutions from a single system. Built with Django REST Framework, React and PostgreSQL, it covers the full learning lifecycle — structured courses, module quizzes, graded exams, assignments, live classes and publicly verifiable certificates. At its centre is Karpi, a retrieval-augmented AI tutor that streams answers grounded strictly in each institution's own uploaded material using pgvector semantic search, so one tenant's content can never surface in another's answers. An AI Studio turns any set of sources into reports, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps and audio overviews.
